Prep4Birth Clinic is a 3 hour clinic that is often broken up into two 1.5 hour sessions. It is appropriate for any trimester of pregnancy. We recommend taking the class as early as possible because it gives you a longer period of time to implement the exercises, to build your body strength, but also begin to prepare your mind for the emotional and mental rigors of labor and birth.
Postpartum Recovery is for those who are in the early stage of postpartum…Anytime after 10-days post vaginal birth or 6 weeks post cesarean birth (check with your doctor). This 6 week series class is not a kick-butt fitness class and involves gentle recovery movement patterns. In week 1, we focus on mind-body reconnection to the pelvic floor and core. You will not experience anything more in the first 3-4 weeks than you are already doing at home. We like to say that your brain will sweat more than your body! In this class series, you will learn how to connect with your deep core muscular system and pelvic floor to structurally support your core and pelvic floor in the recovery phase. You will also learn about diastasis recti, pelvic floor dysfunction, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and other common experiences in the postpartum period.
